Here are some cool pics from the last week or so. As you can see, we have stayed on some great fishing–even though we have ABSOLUTELY NO WATER! My guide gut says that with snow and ice melt and extended low temps, we should start seeing some sort of generation. If this happens, this fishery should explode for the rest of the winter!!!
27" rainbow I caught on a 3 wt. I had a pretty good guide. The first couple of years Jamie and I were married we worked at Rainbow King Lodge in Iliamna, Alaska. I cleaned rooms and worked in the kitchen and Jamie, of course, guided during the rainbow season. We would have one day off during the week. At times, though, Jamie would go for a few weeks without a day off. This was rare day off together on the Newhalen River. Very good times!

Here are some recent pics with Herb and one from this past summer in Colorado. Good guy, good fish, good times! He will be with us through December and still has some great dates available. We will be finalizing dates for the Colorado trip soon, so stay tuned!

JRFFA TEAM DINNER
My vegan dinner for our JRFFA team was a success. We had hummus, quinoa with black beans, and a scrumptious salad with lots of raw veggies. Jamie and Tony were a little skeptical, but loved it. Matt is our main vegan, and he has Herb giving it a try while he is with us for the fall season. Good food, good conversation, good times!
