Rouse Fly Fishing

2013 & 2014 Orvis Endorsed Guide Service Finalist 2012 Guide Service of the Year 2011 Orvis Endorsed Guide Finalist 2007 Orvis Endorsed Guide of the Year

Enjoy spectacular fishing year round for trophy trout on Arkansas' famous rivers and experience awesome fly rod action on area lakes and streams. Led by Capt. Jamie Rouse with 20 years of guiding experience in both Arkansas and Alaska, you can enjoy the great outdoors and have the ultimate fly fishing adventure. Our homewaters have produced the last two world record brown trout as well as the world record walleye and hybrid bass. The rivers of Arkansas for the most part have constant water temperature and are rich with aquatic insects, crustaceans, minnows, and bait fish, which allow for some of the best fishing in North America. Rivers fished include the Little Red River, White River, and Norfork River. These rivers are famous for browns and rainbows. At certain times of the year, we offer dry fly fishing, whereas nymphing and streamer fishing are productive techniques year round. Check out a couple of Capt. Jamie's flies available through Orvis: Rouse's JDub Sowbug and Rouse's Poodle. Jamie has worked for many years on pioneering advanced streamer techniques for producing very large carnivorous trout. Arkansas truly has the best winter fishery anywhere. Ask about the shad kill. Area lakes and streams provide very exciting action for stripers, hybrids, smallmouth, largemouth, and walleye all on a fly. OUR TEAM is constantly exploring new techniques and fisheries. We are considered an instructional outfitter having something to offer all skill levels from the new fly fisherman to the  most advanced angler. Our trips consist of both wade and boat fishing. We can customize the trip to meet your preference or needs.  We offer full, 3/4 day and half day guided trips. A typical day includes a combination of drifting and wading, depending on water conditions. Each trip includes flies, leader and tippet. Bring your own rod if you have one. There will be additional rods in the boat if needed. The full day does include lunch. You will need an Arkansas fishing license and trout permit. These can be obtained through Arkansas Game and Fish. A link to their website is on our RESOURCES PAGE.  Please contact us for current rate schedule and availability.  Email: info@rouseflyfishing.com Phone or text: 501.691.2252
